A practical introduction to slowing audio, adding reverb and exporting a finished remix.
Slowed + reverb combines reduced playback speed with a spacious echo-like reverberation. Depending on the recording, it can emphasize vocal details, the tails of instruments and an atmospheric mood. Simply slowing down a song is not always enough. Balancing speed, pitch and reverb helps create an intentional sound.
Import an audio file supported by your browser, ideally a quality MP3 or WAV. Select the Slowed + Reverb preset, then adjust the speed while listening. A value around 0.8× is a useful starting point rather than a strict rule. Add reverb gradually, checking that vocals remain intelligible and the mix does not become muddy.
Select a start and end point on the waveform to keep only a chosen section. Fade in and fade out can make short edits feel complete. Before exporting, check the volume and make sure the effect does not cause distortion. Export to MP3 or WAV and use the resulting recording in ways permitted by its copyright and other relevant rights.
Rules for using the studio.
The Slowed & Reverb Studio service is operated by the operator identified in the contact details of the website. Contact: [email protected]. The operator's full legal name, address and registration details must be published before launch.
The service provides audio editing tools and optional registered-user private storage. Guests may work with files locally in the browser. Logged-in users can store up to 5 audio tracks, create up to 30 playlists and manage saved effects. Administrators may have different storage limits. The service is not a public streaming service or music-sharing platform.
Registration requires an email address, unique username, password, intended account use, purpose and acceptance of these terms. The account must be activated using a link sent by email. The user must provide accurate contact details, protect their password, and must not share access to their account. The operator may restrict use where there is a documented security or legal issue, with due regard for applicable law.
Users may process and store only recordings they are lawfully entitled to use for the intended purpose. Uploading an audio file does not confer any new copyright, recording or neighbouring rights. Users retain rights to their own content and are responsible for ensuring that their use, edits, exports and further dissemination are lawful. Use of the service does not grant permission to publish, distribute or monetize third-party recordings.
Files saved by registered users are stored privately and are not included in a public catalogue. Access is controlled by authentication and file ownership. The operator may process a properly documented infringement or other unlawful-content notice received at [email protected] and, where required, restrict access or remove affected material under applicable law. To help identify a stored file, include relevant account or track details, the grounds for the notice and contact information.
Files are limited to 10 MB each. Availability and supported formats depend on the user's browser and device. Audio preview and export may differ on some devices, and operation may be interrupted by maintenance, browser restrictions or technical failures. Users should keep independent backups of important files. Saved audio may be removed when a user deletes it or their account is deleted.
The service provides editing technology but does not authorize infringement. The operator does not pre-approve or publicly distribute private user audio. Responsibility for user-provided content and the extent of the operator's liability are governed by applicable law, including applicable hosting and consumer-protection rules. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits statutory rights or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Send technical complaints or legal notices to [email protected], with a description and information enabling investigation. The operator will review the notice within a reasonable period and reply where required by law.
Material changes affecting registered users will be communicated with reasonable notice. Mandatory rights of users remain unaffected. This service is intended for lawful use under Polish law and applicable EU law. Version: 2 November 2026.
How we process personal data.
The personal data controller is the service operator (complete company details before launch). Contact: [email protected].
Account data: username, email, securely hashed password, and the declared private or commercial account use and chosen purpose. These declarations are visible to the service administrator for account and service planning; they do not automatically trigger billing. Library data: track titles, genres, playlists, cover images, audio files, playback settings, timestamps and favorites. Technical data: IP addresses and server logs for security and diagnostics. Processing is necessary to provide the account service (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)), to maintain security and defend claims (Art. 6(1)(f)), and where applicable to comply with legal obligations (Art. 6(1)(c)).
Editing is carried out in your browser. When a registered user chooses Save, the selected audio file, optional cover image and metadata are transmitted to the service for private encrypted storage. Stored audio and covers are accessible to the authenticated owner through protected endpoints and, for justified operational or legal purposes, authorized administrators. They are not shared in a public catalogue. Users are responsible for the rights to material they provide.
Guests may voluntarily opt in to sending an audio sample (up to 10 MB) for internal review. This does not happen by default. Only the last ten opted-in samples are stored encrypted; samples are scheduled for removal after about 24 hours. The operator can access the samples. Contact form entries (name, email, message) are kept in the WordPress Support panel until handled and sent to the designated support inbox. Simple, first-party usage statistics are kept as aggregate daily counters.
Account and library data are retained while an account is active or until the user deletes a track or asks for account deletion, subject to legal retention duties. Security logs are retained according to the hosting provider's retention policies. User preferences saved locally in the browser can be removed by clearing site data.
Hosting and infrastructure providers may process data as processors to operate and secure the service. The audio editor does not require transmitting files to an external conversion API. An optional third-party MP3 encoder script may be downloaded from a CDN when MP3 export is selected; this request can expose standard technical metadata to the CDN provider. No transfer outside the EEA is guaranteed absent vendor verification.
You may request access to, rectification or deletion of data, restriction, portability or object where applicable. You can complain to the Polish data protection authority (UODO). You may contact the operator via [email protected]. Account creation is voluntary, but certain data are necessary to provide account functions.
The service uses essential login and security cookies and browser preferences. Private files are stored encrypted and retrieved via authenticated endpoints. We do not claim absolute security. Additional analytics or marketing technologies, if ever introduced, require separate review of legal obligations and consent where applicable.
